FUNCTION and INDICATIONS
Anticholinergic drugs are mainly used clinically to relieve smooth muscle spasm, gastrointestinal colic, biliary spasm, and organophosphate poisoning.

USAGE AND DOSAGE
oral. Adults: 5-10mg each time, 3 times a day. Children: 0.1～0.2mg/kg each time, 3 times a day.

ADVERSE REACTION
The common ones are: dry mouth, flushed face, blurred vision, etc.; the rare ones are: rapid heartbeat, difficulty urinating, etc.; the above symptoms mostly disappear within 1 to 3 hours. Symptoms of atropine-like poisoning can occur when the dosage is too large.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
It is contraindicated for patients with increased intracranial pressure, acute cerebral hemorrhage, glaucoma, pyloric obstruction, intestinal obstruction and prostatic hypertrophy.
Warning
1.Use with caution in reflux esophagitis and severe ulcerative colitis.
2.It should not be used lightly when the diagnosis of acute abdomen is not clear.
3.When taking medicine in summer, it can increase body temperature due to its sweat blocking effect.
4.Medication for pregnant women and lactating women: pregnant women and lactating women should use it under the guidance of a physician.
5.Children's medication: use with caution in infants and young children.
6.Medication for elderly patients: use with caution for the elderly and physically weak; elderly men mostly suffer from prostatic hypertrophy, which can easily cause prostate hyperemia and urinary retention after medication.
7.Overdose: Overdose can cause symptoms of atropine-like poisoning, which can be rescued with 1% pilocarpine, 0.25-0.5ml each time, subcutaneous injection, once every 15 minutes, until the symptoms are relieved.
DRUG INTERACTION
1.Combined use with amantadine, phenothiazines, tricyclic antidepressants, primidone, procainamide and other anticholinergics can increase adverse reactions.
2.Compatible with monoamine oxidase preparations (including furazolidone and procarbazine), it can enhance the side effects of antimuscarinic effects.
3.It can weaken gastrointestinal motility and delay gastric emptying, which has an impact on some drugs. For example, erythromycin stays in the stomach for too long to reduce the efficacy, the absorption of acetaminophen is delayed, and the absorption of digoxin, nitrofurantoin and other drugs increases.
PHARMACOLOGIC ACTION
It has a peripheral anti-M choline receptor effect and can relieve smooth muscle spasm caused by acetylcholine. It has a relaxing effect on the smooth muscle of the gastrointestinal tract and inhibits its peristalsis. Its effect is slightly weaker than that of atropine. Its effect of inhibiting the secretion of gastrointestinal glands is 1/10 of atropine. The effect of inhibiting salivary gland secretion and pupil dilation is weak, which is 1/20-1/10 of atropine. It can relieve microvascular spasm and improve microcirculation. Because it is not easy to pass the blood-cerebrospinal fluid barrier, the central function is also weaker than that of atropine.
Pharmacokinetics
Oral absorption is poor, most of the rats stay in the gastrointestinal tract 24 hours after oral administration, and the urine volume is small. After oral administration, the amount of Chinese medicine in the urine is about 2% of the amount of medicine used, and nearly 90% of the medicine appears in the stool. Long-term application has no accumulation effect.
